FED: Aust merchandise imports $8.54 bln in November: ABS

CANBERRA, Dec 16 AAP - Australia imported $8.54 billion worth of merchandise in November,
the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) said today.

The bureau said in original terms, total merchandise imports were down from the comparable
figure of $9.02 billion in October.

The value of imports fell in all categories except food and live animals, mineral fuels,
lubricants and related materials, animal and vegetable oils, fats and waxes.
